Travel from Ottawa into the Gatineau Hills on a scenic heritage tour reserved privately for you and your group.
You will not be joined with other travellers. This longer experience is designed for guests who want a comfortable group reservation featuring Mackenzie King Estate, Gatineau Park scenery and Chelsea Village.
Pick-up and drop-off are included from Fairmont Chateau Laurier, nearby downtown Ottawa hotels or another confirmed Ottawa-area location.
This is the only longer tour in this collection because the destination sits outside central Ottawa and requires enough time for the drive, estate visit and Chelsea stop.
After pick-up, cross from Ottawa into Gatineau and continue toward Gatineau Park. During the drive, your guide will introduce the region, the park landscape and the story of William Lyon Mackenzie King, Canada's longest-serving prime minister.
Visit the Mackenzie King Estate area when access is available. Depending on the season, public access and timing, guests may explore the outdoor grounds, historic ruins, garden areas, forest scenery and exterior heritage features. This is a relaxed sightseeing and heritage experience, not a strenuous hike.
After the estate visit, continue to Chelsea Village, a welcoming community near Gatineau Park known for cafes, small businesses, local atmosphere and access to nature. Depending on timing, guests may enjoy a short walk, quick browse or optional cafe stop. Food, beverages and personal purchases are paid directly by the customer.

Access to Mackenzie King Estate buildings, grounds, roads and programming may vary by season. If estate access is restricted, the route may be adjusted to include other scenic Gatineau Park or Chelsea-area locations.
After the final stop, guests return comfortably to Ottawa for drop-off at Fairmont Chateau Laurier, a nearby downtown hotel or another confirmed location.
