Scars on 45
About this Event
After years away, Scars on 45 are returning to Boise for an intimate night at the Sapphire Room to celebrate the release of their new album.
The English indie-rock band shares a special history with the City of Trees, dating back to their earliest U.S. tours in 2011. Through numerous appearances at venues around town, Scars on 45 became a familiar—and much-loved—name among Boise music fans.
Originally from Bradford, England, the band first broke through in the U.S. when “Beauty’s Running Wild” was featured on CSI: NY. The placement caught the attention of acclaimed music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, who signed the band to her Atlantic Records-distributed label, Chop Shop Records. Soon after, “Heart on Fire” was selected as the lead track for the Grey’s Anatomy Vol. 4 soundtrack, introducing an even wider audience to the band’s distinctive mix of melodic indie rock, piano-driven pop, and the harmonies of vocalists Danny Bemrose and Aimee Driver.
Their songs went on to appear in television series including One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars, Supernatural, and Reign. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2012, reached No. 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart and landed at No. 7 on Amazon editors’ list of the 50 Best Albums of 2012.
Scars on 45 spent the following years touring extensively across the U.S., sharing stages with The Fray, Ingrid Michaelson, Marc Broussard, and Tori Amos. They also made their national television debut on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Following the release of their third studio album, Satellite Town, in 2018, the band largely stepped away from regular touring.
Now, after eight years, Scars On 45 are back with “Silhouettes,” the first single from their fourth studio album, We All Make Amends in the End, which is released in September!
And fittingly, Boise is part of their return.
This special night at the Sapphire Room offers longtime fans—and those discovering the band for the first time—a rare chance to experience Scars on 45 up close, with fan favorites, songs spanning their catalog, and new music from the next chapter of the band.
