Scarecrow Wood Carving by Dawn Sherseth

In this 2 session wood carving class, we will carve a scarecrow using flat plane carving techniques on a basswood cutout. There will be an opportunity to individualize your scarecrow through outfit and painting. We will be using a carving knife and possibly some small gauges and v tools. All supplies and tools, including a safety glove and thumb guard, will be provided for use during class. If you have your own tools, please feel free to bring them. This little carving is a great way to start the fall season.
