The Madison the City Business Network is excited to announce a new event for 2026 – the Scarecrow Tailgate Showdown! This tailgate cooking competition will follow the Scarecrow Stroll on October 10. Follow Grand Marshal Robert Pickenpaugh through downtown Madison and then vote for your favorite tailgate dish from 3:30-5:00 at the Business Network Parking Lot, 2023 Main Street. Dance to the DJ’s rocking tunes while the youngsters play in the Kids Zone at The Village at Madison. Awards will be given at 5:00 pm.
The public will choose a winner in each of these categories: appetizer/side, main, and dessert. Additionally, an overall Spirit Award will be chosen by the voters for the tent with the best spirit, decorations, and crowd involvement.
