About this Event

Welcome to Scanning the Globe ; The Digital Mine!

Get ready for an exciting in-person event where digital preservation meets the mining world. The exhibition aims to show how emerging technologies can deepen engagement with historical narratives while expanding accessibility and long-term preservation.
Where students, educators, and the public can experience the scans through virtual reality and 3D-printed recreations, offering an accessible and engaging encounter with Canada’s history.
