Be sure to mark it on your calendar today: the 23rd annual Scandinavian Folk Festival will be held July 18th through the 19th, 2026 in the Northwest Arena, Jamestown, New York! The focus this year is fellowship and community.
Jamestown is the focal point for the celebration of our Scandinavian heritage in this corner of the world. There is nothing like it within hundreds of miles. Listen to the music of fiddle and accordion players, the Jamestown Municipal Band, the Harmony Express Chorus, Dem Bones trombone players and much more.
Watch the Thule Lodge Children and Adult Folk Dance Teams in their colorful folk costumes. Join the dance teams in the streets for traditional Swedish midsummer ring dancing.
Observe and practice folk craft traditions such as loom weaving, painting, huck weaving, knitting, chip and wood carving, and spinning. Attend a lecture. Win a $200 first prize in the KUBB (Viking lawn game), Nordic cornhole, trivia or cooking contest. Play Nordic bingo for prizes.
Enjoy a korvburger or other Scandinavian foods. Participate in the featured Fika – an opportunity for fellowship as servers present coffee in china cups and samples of Swedish delicacies.
All the above for a gate fee of only $3.00, plus two nonperishable food items for the Salvation Army food kitchen. (Otherwise $5.00.) Välkommen!
