Starting or scaling a small diversified/sustainable farm can be a guessing game when you are starting off without a plan or ample resources to invest in your business. Join us for an interactive peer-led event at Mountain Harvest Farm to learn about the investments, practices, tools and choices along the way, that have helped their small farm thrive and become a community staple. This workshop will include lessons on systems & tools for managing growth, financial inputs and investments into farm infrastructure, understanding critical growth points, matching your farm business model to available sales outlets, and hiring/managing additional labor. We'll end the day with an interactive farm operations tour with ample time for questions and networking with WV local producers and service providers.
