Join us for an afternoon of short films exploring dam removal, river restoration, and the return of wild Atlantic salmon. This screening is part of the Scale of Change Film Tour, an international conservation-driven film tour featuring powerful stories from rivers around the world. Plattsburgh is one of just two U.S. stops on the international film tour.
The films highlight how reconnecting rivers can lead to healthier fish populations and stronger river ecosystems. A brief local discussion will connect the films’ themes to the Saranac River and ongoing conversations about river connectivity in our region.
The program will include three short films from Hooké and remarks from Bill Bullock, Vice President, Atlantic Salmon Federation.
This event is hosted by the Lake Champlain Trout Unlimited chapter and is open to anyone interested in rivers, the environment, or great storytelling.
No fishing or conservation background needed.
The event is free to attend. As part of the event, our chapter is donating $1,000 to the Atlantic Salmon Federation and will invite attendees to help us match that gift in support of river restoration efforts.
