SCA Earth Day Volunteer Event with Brooklyn Greenway Initiative

Celebrate Earth Day by volunteering alongside SCA staff to clean up the Naval Cemetery Landscape in Brooklyn, New York. We'll be getting our hands dirty while beautifying the landscape by tackling trash and invasive species!

What We'll Do:

• Raking and weeding
• Clearing invasive mugwort, multiflora rose and porcelain berry
• Trash clean-up

What To Wear:

• Jeans or work pants
• High-top boots (leather, if available)
• Long sleeve shirts
• (NO sneakers, shorts, sweatpants, tank tops)

What To Bring:

• A backpack with:
• Water bottle
• Snacks
• Lunch
• Extra clothing
• Rain gear (if called for)

Gloves and tools will be provided!
