Begin the morning with Coffee & Conversation at the Canal Room in the Old Santee Canal Park Interpretive Center. This discussion will explore the important role that land trusts and local governments play in protecting South Carolina's natural, cultural, and historic treasures. Following the program, participants will hike to Fort Fair Lawn.
Participants will explore the historic grounds while learning about the fort’s role as a strategic outpost for Patriot forces and the impact of the Revolutionary War on the surrounding communities and waterways. Following the hike, the group will tour the Fort Fair Lawn Museum, where exhibits and artifacts bring the region’s Revolutionary history to life.
