“Native American Archaeology in South Carolina”: 11 a.m.- Noon
Presented by Center Archaeologist and USC Lancaster Senior Instructor of Anthropology and Archaeology Chris Judge, this lecture presents archaeological data on Native American cultures since the last Ice Age. From the coast to the mountains, archaeological evidence abounds in our state. This lecture looks at the sites and artifacts that tell the history of the state’s Indigenous peoples prior to the arrival of Europeans. This lecture is sponsored by the Lancaster County Council of the Arts and S.C. Humanities and will also be held virtually (register via Zoom at https://bit.ly/4n1bBNG)
