Dear Classified Colleagues,
You are cordially invited to SBCCD’s Annual Classified Summit at the Double Tree Hotel in San Bernardino. We will come together on Thursday, June 10, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. RSVP is required.
Don’t miss this opportunity to step away from the usual routine, reconnect with colleagues, and enjoy meaningful time together in a welcoming and supportive environment. This summit is designed to celebrate our work, renew our energy and collaborate on meaningful ways to strengthen our impact and support one another moving forward.
Please note:
- This event is for Classified Professionals only.
- A warm breakfast and a boxed lunch will be provided.
- This summit will be considered your place of work for the day. Any absence must be approved by your manager and appropriate leave (vacation, personal leave or sick time) must be used.
- In lieu of mileage, each attendee will receive a $10 gas gift card.
Meet our Keynote Speaker!
Dr. Natalie M. Vázquez, Ed.D. Change Agent | Equity-Centered Professional Learning
Dr. Natalie M. Vázquez is a classified professional, equity-centered leader, and consultant with over two decades of experience in the California Community College system. A proud product of the community college system, she has dedicated her career to elevating the classified experience and championing professional learning as a catalyst for institutional change.
Dr. Vázquez is the creator of the Professional Learning Hierarchy of Needs (PLHN)© framework and holds a doctorate in Organizational Change and Administration. Her research examined how classified professionals engage in equity work, often without recognition, and continues to shape her advocacy. She serves as Vice Chair of the California Community College Council for Professional Development (4CPD) and leads the Equity-Minded Leadership Institute at Riverside City College, now in its fifth year.
She is the 2026 California Community College Chancellor's Office Classified Employee of the Year, an honor that reflects a career built on resilience, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people who make our colleges work.
