From Grande Magnolia of Benson - Join us as we celebrate our Veterans on November 7th. These men and women are the reason we are the free country we are today and have been for 250 plus years.
We kick off the celebration with our EXPO from 2 to 5 p.m. featuring artisans from the community including my granddaughter, Gabriella Martin, who has painted a number of pictures hanging in the Grande Magnolia.
Enjoy a BBQ pig pickin' with all the fixings including BBQ pig and chicken, potato salad, slaw, hushpuppies, green beans, BBQ potatoes and Hawaiian baked beans with banana pudding made by me! Sayer McShane will be entertaining us while we eat from 5 to 7 p.m. and providing special music throughout the Salute that you don't want to miss.
Our Salute is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the courtyard by the Grande Magnolia. We will have chairs but if you want to bring your own lawn chair, please do. We want this to be our first of many annual Salutes for our Armed Forces.
Tickets are available for those who are not military at the Grande Magnolia or at the door for $25.00 Includes your meal and coffee, tea, soda or water. Beer and alcohol are extra. And don't forget to tip your servers.
