About this Event

Workshop

You don’t need to be a rapper to freestyle. You just need something to say.

This high-energy, beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of freestyle rap through the lens of improvisation.

Led from an emcee’s perspective, the session brings a real-world approach to freestyle - focusing on rhythm, rhyme, presence, musicality, and the mindset needed to create confidently in the moment.

Through interactive games, exercises, and group freestyle, participants will learn how to:

– Find and maintain rhythm
– Build simple and complex rhyme patterns
– Stay present and recover from mistakes
– Collaborate and support others in a group setting
– Turn spontaneous ideas into confident choices

Rooted in the Freestyle Fitness approach, the workshop emphasizes playful repetition, low-pressure practice, and celebrating progress - helping participants build real skills while staying relaxed and expressive.

The result is a supportive space to take risks, find your voice, and experience the joy of making something up on the spot.

No prior rap or music experience required - just a willingness to play.
