Join us on June 20 at 3 PM at Saint James Libations in Bushwick for an afternoon of live music, poetry, comedy, crafts, and community. This is a free creative gathering shaped by Black and queer artists in New York City. It is designed for anyone who wants a Juneteenth event that feels welcoming, grounded, and centered on real connection.
This is the perfect place for newcomers, for people planning their Juneteenth week, for Brooklyn neighbors who want to support Black voices, and for anyone who wants to be in a room that pushes back on the erasure and gentrification happening across Bushwick.
Who this is for
If you are Black, queer, creative, local or simply looking for a calm and meaningful afternoon, you belong here. A lot of people come alone and it is completely normal. Some perform. Some listen. Some talk with strangers for hours. People leave with new friends, collaborators, group chats, and a reminder that community in New York is still real.
This event is also ideal for anyone who wants to go out without staying out late. Come before your evening plans or make this your one easy outing of the day and be home by 8PM.

There is no pressure to perform or network or be anything other than yourself.
Venue and community support
Saint James Libations is a Black owned and queer women owned wine bar that has become a beautiful space for culture and conversation in Bushwick. There is no cost to attend. We simply ask that everyone gets at least one food or beverage to support the venue. All food and drink purchases go directly to the bar.
If you want to support uplifting Black voices and independent artists in America, this is the place to be.
