Accompanying Mishéll is Sergei Govorov, a sought-after saxophonist whose 25-year career has earned him recognition across the globe. Originally from Russia, Sergei made his mark early, winning the Grand Prix at the Vyacheslav Shchelokov competition at just 14 years old. His exceptional talent led him to study under the mentorship of prominent classical saxophonist Margarita Shaposhnikova, and soon after, he began touring Russia and establishing himself as one of the country’s most celebrated saxophonists.
In 2011, Sergei’s career reached new heights when he performed at the world-renowned Montreux Jazz Festival. Having recently received his EB-1A visa—recognizing his extraordinary abilities—Sergei now brings his distinctive saxophone sound to American audiences, delivering mesmerizing performances that combine technical brilliance with deep musical expression.
