About this Event

If you are looking for some new unique recipes to share with family and friends for this year's celebration, join us for a bit of craic (Irish for fun - pronounced as crack) as we prepare three classic Irish Halloween mainstays -- Carrot Soup, Colcannon, and Apple Cake.

During this hands-on cooking class, instructors will share details about Irish Halloween traditions and trivia. We also will play spooky music to set the mood. All dishes will be suitable for vegetarians. Recipes will include butter, dairy and eggs.

Your instructors include Jessie Twineham and Laurie Weidner. Jessie went to grad school in Ireland and lived there for nearly eight years. The recipes you will learn are those she prepared for friends on Halloween while living abroad. Laurie has taught a variety of courses over the last few years for the Co-op including two focusing on Irish cuisine. She was raised by her grandmother, who migrated from Ireland. Her past Co-op classes have included her grandmother's recipes.
