About the Photographer

Allison Faulkner is a food and beverage photographer who believes food is more than fuel; it is where connection, creativity, and comfort come together. She brings that belief to life through visuals that are vibrant and bold, capturing moments that show the beauty of what we eat and drink.

As a proud HBCU alum, Allison’s food story began at Howard University, where she earned a degree in Nutritional Science and later worked as a Licensed Nutritionist in DC. That experience shaped her eye for capturing food in a way that feels intentional, authentic, and true to its story. But it wasn’t until she moved to Los Angeles and joined the operations team of a gourmet chocolate company that her passion for food photography truly came to life.

Now Allison runs her own company, Golden Joy Photography, where she blends industry knowledge with her creative eye. She helps brands with visuals that highlight everyday use in ways that feel natural, strategic, and memorable. Her goal is to encourage others to see food photography as more than images, but as an opportunity to slow down, notice the details, and capture the beauty in everyday moments.
