With a voice straight out of the jazz age, Savoir Faire brings the modern existential crisis into a realm of retro-noir.
Born to an American mother and an Iranian father, Savoir Faire was absorbing the influences of everything from classic 60s rock to Persian pop at an early age. She would go on to study jazz guitar in university, performing as a jazz guitarist and lounge singer before adding the last few ingredients that would form the aesthetic of Savoir Faire: lush and syrupy vocals, biting lyricism, and searing guitar parts resulting in a Lynchian rumination on the present. Her unique, multi genre sound has led to supporting Devotchka, M. Ward, and Marissa Nadler on stage and garnering nominations ranging from “Best Jazz Act” (Boston Music Awards) to “Songwriter of the Year” (New England Music Awards” and “Post Punk Act of the Year” (Motif Awards). Savoir Faire’s debut album Hopeless Nostalgic (January 2025) was hailed as a “stunning blend of existentialism and retro noir” by Pop Matters, blending calls to action with sentimentality to answer the question “What if a torch singer had a Riot Grrl heart?”
With Opener: Kate Possi
Kate Possi has an outlet playing music around the Seacoast New Hampshire scene for the last 5 years. Originally from Boston, she started her musical endeavors on the cello at age 9 and later picking up the guitar at age 13. Since then, Kate has played music all around New England sharing her indie-folk sound both as a solo performer, and with her band. Her songwriting focuses on loss, love, heartbreak, and life.
