Save the Turkeys tourney is a tournament solely based around joining all types of outdoorsmen together to have a great time and most importantly help our declining turkey population. Check-ins will be held at Phillips Meat Processing in Zanesville, Ohio. You can message Jonathan Brennan or Scott Vierstra to get signed up. We will also have in person sign up sheets located at Phillips meat processing during operational hours. Deadline to register is December 26th by 8pm. Teams of 4, any legal means, point system based off of type of predator (coyote, red fox, raccoon, opossum, skunk), $100 team buy in with a option to enter side pots for biggest of each predator @ $10 a side pot. If were to buy into tournament and enter all side pots it would be $150 total for your team. It starts on friday night the 27th after pick 4 is drawn, then and ends at noon Sunday the 29th. Check in is on Sunday at starting noon and closes at 1. Winner is declared by the most overall points. You must have your biggest of each predator selected for weigh-ins Sunday. The point system is as followed
Raccoons,Opossum,Red Fox- 1pt
Coyote- 2pt
Skunk- 5pt
Rules
⁃ Trappers must take video of all traps/snares empty reciting the midday pick 4 Friday. And can’t harvest a animal from said traps until evening pick 4 is drawn
⁃ Must hunt with your listed members up to 4 ( you can divide into groups of 2 within your own team)
⁃ Must hunt in Ohio
⁃ K*ll video required with at least 2 members of the team and location services on
⁃ In said K*ll videos you must show at least 2 members of your team (no one else is allowed beside team members ), shake the dead predator to show limpness, and recite the pick 4 from Friday evening drawing
⁃ Most importantly follow all legal requirements per ODNR.
