But in a bigger world they offer clues to the spirit of the times... trends and technology shared by a particular culture in a certain era. By studying, admiring, and preserving historical styles we are inspired and informed. By encountering the wrinkles of the past we hear the long ago intimate stories of the wearers, if only for a moment.

Join executive director Bethany Groff Dorau and fashion historian Lois Valeo for another Fashion Night Out. Listen as they collaboratively intricately weave stories about 6 important dresses from the museum collection. During the illustrated talk, learn inside and out about the fashion details of each dress and connect the personal stories that bring bygone beauty to life.
