Immerse yourself in a deeply restorative experience that combines the tranquility of restorative yoga with the healing power of sound. We will begin with 45 minutes of restorative yoga, including gentle movement to release tension and breath techniques that calm the nervous system, preparing the body for a profound state of relaxation. Then, you’ll surrender for a full 45 minutes into the ultimate resting pose, savasana, supported by bolsters, blankets, and an eye pillow.
Savasana, often called the most important pose in yoga, is a cornerstone of relaxation and restoration. This deep rest allows your body to:
- Reduce stress and anxiety by calming the nervous system and promoting the release of tension.
- Improve sleep quality by deepening relaxation and preparing the body for restful slumber.
- Boost immunity by supporting the body's natural healing processes.
- Increase focus and clarity by allowing the mind to quiet and recharge.
- Enhance creativity by stimulating the flow of ideas and inspiration.
As you rest, you'll be enveloped in a mesmerizing soundscape created by live music from sound healer, Sean Pepers. His enchanting melodies -- produced with drums, chimes, didgeridoo, flutes, guitar, and other instruments -- will transport you to a place of profound peace and rejuvenation.
Sound healing instruments offer a multitude of benefits including:
- Deep relaxation and stress reduction: Sound vibrations can calm the nervous system and induce a state of deep relaxation, helping to alleviate stress and anxiety.
- Improved sleep: Sound healing can promote restful sleep by slowing brainwave activity and reducing mental chatter.
- Pain management: The vibrational nature of sound can help alleviate physical pain and tension.
- Emotional balance: Sound therapy can support emotional healing and promote a sense of wellbeing.
- Increased focus and creativity: By calming the mind, sound healing can enhance mental clarity and stimulate creativity.
This offering is an invitation to let go of tension, stress, and worries, allowing your mind and body to restore and recharge. Experience the transformative power of sound washing over you, leaving you feeling refreshed, centered, and deeply connected to your inner peace as you experience the combined power of savasana and sound healing.
This workshop is suited for those new and experienced with yoga and meditation. All levels are welcome.
