Savannah Sounds is bringing three nights of live music to Rex Smeal Park. Running from 22–24 May 2026, Savannah Sounds is presented by Douglas Shire Council with major sponsor Newsport and delivers a strong line-up of Australian artists, local talent and a relaxed festival precinct by the sea.Savannah Sounds Friday Night presented by Reef Unlimited opens the weekend with a family-friendly celebration, combining live music, fireworks and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the night. With special guests Sneaky Sound System taking to the stage, Friday night sets a high-energy tone while remaining one of the best places in Port Douglas to enjoy the Carnivale fireworks. A dedicated family ticket makes it easy for all ages to be part of the opening night fun.
Saturday night features the biggest Saturday line-up in Carnivale history, headlined by Jon Stevens making his Port Douglas debut alongside Vanessa Amorosi. Sunday night closes out the weekend with Australian-New Zealand rock legends Dragon, performing the anthems that have soundtracked generations.
Across the weekend, Savannah Sounds also showcases a strong supporting line-up including Kingswood, Sara Berki and Austin Mackay, alongside a selection of local performers. The festival precinct includes food trucks, bars, relaxed seating areas and a VIP zone overlooking the water.
With warm May evenings and the Coral Sea as the backdrop, Savannah Sounds is a centrepiece of Port Douglas Carnivale, inviting visitors to make a full weekend of live music, good food and time well spent in Port Douglas.
