Hot Wrk is a saxophone/woodwind and percussion trio that creates community with diverse, genre-eclectic “chamber grooves.”
About this Event
Savage Wonder presents another evening of FREE MUSIC featuring Hudson Valley’s best musicians, singers & songwriters.
Tonight,
Hot Wrk Ensemble explores, deconstructs and “wrks out” concepts of traditional chamber music with an audience-inclusive concert experience.
A powerhouse trio that won’t let you put them in a box. What is Hot Wrk? Everything you love about jazz, classical chamber music, alternative rock and experimental sound, mixed together with artistry, audience engagement and a heavy-handed musical immersion blender. What do you get? Something entirely new and refreshing!
This performance also honors a shared tradition of service. Lois Hicks-Wozniak is a veteran and former member of the West Point Band, and her husband is also a veteran. Together, their connection to the veteran community brings special meaning to the music and the evening.
Featuring,
Lois Hicks-Wozniak, Saxophones
Brad Hubbard, Baritone Saxophone and Flute
Dave Previ, Percussion
