Formed in 2017 by Phil Ross (Ironsword, ex-Manilla Road) and joined very shortly after by main songwriter and lead guitarist Leeland Campana (Visigoth), the duo quickly recruited east coaster Brendan Radigan (Sumerlands, Battle Ruins, Rival Mob, Pagan Altar) for vocal duties and released a self-titled EP bearing two songs of epic power metal madness in the vein of Omen, Manilla Road, and Helloween. They
quickly followed up that with "Divine Battle" A full length with 5 hymns that further worship the epic gods,, and tread new ground mixing European influences with the masters of old USPM. Savage Oath have only played in Europe once, debuting at Keep It True 2024, and they're back again now in 2026 to lay waste to the Sonic Ballroom as well as feature at Stormcrusher and Pyrenean Warriors festivals. They are now joined by the permanent additions of ATX on drums (Solystalgia) and German veteran guitarist Kalli Coldsmith (Masters Of Disguise, Sentry, Revenant) for rhythm duties.
In a time, when so-called internet "journalists" and self-proclaimed experts, either backed by the interests of the industry scum or driven by sheer stupidity, are trying to re-write the sacred history of Heavy Metal, bands like Procession from Chile are needed more than ever.
Formed in 2006 by Felipe Plaza and Daniel Perez in Chile's cultural heart, the coastal city of Valparaiso, they follow the path of tradition, laid out by the masters Black Sabbath, Candlemass and Saint Vitus without mercy, without compromise. Now based in Sweden the lineup consists of founder Felipe Plaza (Nifelheim, Capilla Ardiente, ex-Scald, Crank), and bassist Claudio Botarro (still based in Chile) with the addition of Swedish Drummer C. Johannson (Irkallian Oracle) they have pummeled audiences across Europe this past year. The incarnation of Procession that will grace the stage of Sonic Ballroom in 2026 will feature the above members with stand in bassist Phil Ross (Savage Oath, Ironsword), and second guitarist Anastasis Valtsanis (Dead Congregation) - doom metal never tasted so good, let us drink from the chalice!
