The Autism Foundation of Illinois is pleased to invite the community to participate in a special fundraising event: a Community Garage Sale held in support of children and families across Illinois.This event will follow a “donation-based” model rather than traditional pricing. There will be no set prices on items. Instead, attendees are invited to select items and contribute an amount they feel is appropriate.
For example:
“I would offer $3 for this toaster.”
“I would offer $15 for this cabinet.”
“I would offer $10 for this toy set.”
Contributions may vary by item, and all donations are welcomed. For those who prefer not to take items, direct monetary donations are also gratefully accepted.
All proceeds from this event will directly support the Foundation’s scholarship program, which helps families secure private health insurance coverage for their children. These scholarships make it possible for children to access critical services, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and diagnostic evaluations.

Donation Drop-Off: June 5, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Community Sale: June 6, 2026 | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Volunteer support is also needed for event setup and organization on both days from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
We welcome donations of new or gently used items, volunteer participation, and partnerships with local businesses. If you are interested in contributing in any capacity, please contact us directly.
We appreciate your support in helping expand access to essential services for children with autism and their families.
