About this Event

Every month, we invite community members to join us and a guest to explore an aspect of Sauchiehall Street’s heritage over a warm bowl of soup.

This month, the Open Museum will join us to share heritage items from vintage Glasgow nights out in the 1930s - 1960s. You’ll be able to handle real museum objects about social history of Glasgow and Scotland, and relive an era of glamour, sparkling stage and screen entertainment, complete with clothes, smoking paraphernalia and tickets. Be inspired with discussions both nostalgic and new.

Enjoy the feeling of a real feather boa whilst you experience the scent of years gone by and enjoy the images of classic ballrooms and cinemas.

Afterwards, we’ll all grab a bowl of vegan soup provided by Sprigg, and discuss the street’s entertainment history.

Please email [email protected] for any questions about dietary requirements, or access.
