Inspired by the piece shown above, this handcrafted shadowbox features a real Saturn moth displayed among natural botanicals and textured woodland elements, arranged in a dark, moody composition that highlights the moth’s delicate wing structure and presence.
This design will be recreated in a larger 8Ă—6 frame (an upgrade from our usual 4Ă—6 size), allowing for a more spacious layout and added visual depth. Each piece is thoughtfully composed by hand, with careful attention to balance, texture, and negative space, ensuring the moth remains the focal point while the surrounding botanicals quietly support the overall story.
Materials include:
A real preserved Saturn moth
Dried florals and natural forest elements
A solid shadowbox frame with a deep interior for dimensional display and velvet background
While inspired by the reference image, each shadowbox is made individually, meaning no two will be exactly alike. Natural variations in moth markings and botanicals are part of what makes each piece special.
