About this Event
Let's practice yoga, nourish ourselves, connect, build a community, have fun and liberate together 💜
I don’t know about you, but I personally have been longing to build a community for queers coming together to be, beyond loud events, beyond alcohol and beyond fast moving spaces 🧞♀️🧚🏾♂️🧜🏽. The idea of offering yoga practices as a form of queer community building has been brewing for a while (since 2022), but it took me two country moves to finally be ready to take some action :)
So….. I invite all queers in Barcelona and visiting Barcelona from different corners of the world to come and practice yoga, but wait for it…. Not only that! After the practice, you are invited to grab some tea/coffee/cakes at the cafe near by and simply hang out, talk, connect, build friendships and more. The inspiration to connect beyond the practice came from the Yoga Community Project run by Matti in London. I love what Matti has created in London and if you are also longing to build a community here in Barcelona - come, practice, converse and be part of this!

P.S. I offer practices for BIPOC community only, if you’d like to join follow here!
What to expect from our time together during a yoga practice?
A mini retreat experience 1.5-2h session in the park I am currently looking for an indoor space to hold practices during poor weather, but that might take time. Meanwhile, during bad weather days we will connect to practice online.
Varied practices (all part of yoga) - during 1.5h - 2h sessions explore yoga wisdom, yoga āsana (practice of holding physical poses), prāṇāyāma (practice that engages breath to move the life-force energy prāņa), mantrā chanting (aloud, whispered, or silent), and hasta mudrā (hand and finger gestures or visualisations) and meditate in silence with your chosen point of focus.
Because yoga is so much more than poses!
What to bring with you?
- Blanket/mat/towel/anything similar that you can practice on - as long as it’s not slippery it will work! You can also just practice on grass (when the weather is warm, or not if your body is happy with cool earth)
- Towel to cushion and/or elevate your sitting bones/knees or your head
- Warm socks, sweater/blanket to cover your body and keep warm for when we practice in stillness (meditate, savāsana)
- Bottle of water to stay hydrated
- A tea cup. We will share a warm tea made out of red dates, goji berries, clove, cardamom and mint
- Anything else that you’d like to support your practice
Accessibility Information
- Step-free access and wheelchair-friendly routes to the practice area
- Ground surface grass—may be uneven or soft in places

The space is open for all queers regardless of their caste, gender, race, sexual orientation, age, body type, or ability 🧚🏾♂️🧞♀️🦹🏿. I strive to create an inclusive and accessible space for practice, and deeply value your feedback to help continuously improve, so please share what worked and what did not work for you - I love direct feedback, no need to fluff words :)
I have completed a trauma-informed course. I do not have a qualification, however I aim to apply trauma-informed principles to the best of my knowledge. However, everyone’s trauma is unique. I welcome your feedback that would allow me to better curate a yoga practice for your needs.
