New year, new you, new Balboa moves! In this workshop you will learn variations for Balboa basics like the toss-outs, come arounds, and lollies - as well as how to keep the connection to your partner feeling good while changing up the footwork. Knowledge of Balboa basics is required for this workshop.
After the workshop, hang out with us as we grab dinner together nearby!

Instructors: Meghan Zuelke and Tony Rampello
Meghan Zuelke: Meghan began swing dancing in 2016 as part of the University of Cincinnati Hepcats club. She quickly fell in love with the connections created through swing dancing—with the music, with the partners on the dance floor, and with the community off the floor. While she still calls Cincinnati her home scene, she loves traveling to other scenes to experience different styles and mixes of music. Meghan began DJing in 2019 and her favorite songs are those with playful rhythms, rich vocals, and a little sass.
Tony Rampello: Tony began swing dancing in a small town in Montana in 2014. Because the dance scene was so small, he got to work very closely with a group of dedicated dancers that helped him dive head first into the deep end of swing. He hadn’t done anything like it before and quickly fell in love with it. Swing has been a consistently important part of his life since then.
Tony has now lived and taught in Montana, Texas, New York, Colorado and Indiana. Each scene has been fun and unique and has given him a different perspective on dance. Everytime he moves he takes with him the ideas and values of everywhere he’s been.
In dance, connection and clarity are his bread and butter. Tony enjoys the musicality, footwork and complicated moves of swing, but he likes nothing more than having a comfortable dance.
