Saturday Strategy Lab

Sharpen your mahjong skills with guided play, hands-on coaching, and practical strategy exercises to build confidence at the table!
About this Event

Ready to take your mahjong game to the next level?

Join Mahjong Mischief at The Mahj House in Westmont for a fun, interactive workshop designed to help you play with more confidence, intention, and strategy!

We'll combine guided play with hands-on coaching and mini strategy exercises to help you sharpen your skills and make smarter decisions at the table.

We'll work on:

• Making the most of your Charleston
• Evaluating your tiles and choosing a direction
• Knowing when to pivot (and when to stay the course!)
• Making strategic decisions as the game unfolds
• Building confidence through practice and play

This isn't a lecture! You'll play actual hands, work through real-game situations, and get coaching along the way.

Who should attend?

Players who already know the basics of American mahjong and are ready to strengthen their game. You don't need to be an expert—just comfortable with the fundamentals and eager to improve!

What is provided?

We'll provide all Mahjong equipment and teaching materials. Please bring your NMJL card; we'll have some available to borrow or purchase if necessary.
