In the neighborhood? Looking for a rainy-day activity? Want to build some reading into your schedule with your child, but you don’t want to do the reading this time? Stop in for Saturday Storytime. It’s very casual and relaxed. Stories are often pre-selected based on time of year, holidays, new book arrival, or based on a whim.
Final choices may have to do with the audience. So, if there are more toddlers or younger in attendance, we may lean more towards board books than story driven options. But, if we have older kiddos, then a more engaging tale may be selected. And, if there’s a mix, then we read a mix as well. Most times we tend to have 3-7 years of age, but we’ve had as young as 6 months and as old as 8 or 9 years of age. Plus, parents or caregivers like to sit and listen as well. Everyone enjoys hearing a story!
