We're excited to welcome author Carrie Finison back to the store, this time to celebrate her new book, Touch a Truck Day, illustrated by Viola Wang. And as a special treat, the Acton Fire Department will have a fire engine parked in our store lot until 12:30PM, so young readers can experience a live version of "touch a truck day"!
This rhyming, tabbed novelty book invites young vehicle fans to explore eight fascinating trucks, with a sweet and special surprise at the end. Carrie Finison began her literary career at the age of seven with an idea, a box of markers, and her father’s typewriter. She has been writing off and on ever since, though she has (somewhat regretfully) traded in the typewriter for a laptop. Today, she writes children’s books with lots of humor and heart.
