MEMBERSHIP: $40 / year (details at the bottom)
We have picked our Saturday Sampler quilts/projects for next year. There will be two options: the traditional quilt, which is Stormy Sea by Wing and a Prayer Designs. It is a gorgeous 108″
square quilt using Tonga Batiks. We will have a sample quilt in the store so you can see it in person.
Our second option is made up of four smaller seasonal projects, each teaching something different. The first project is Hello Spring by Pen and Paper Designs. The second is Paper Roses by It’s Sew Emma (foundation piecing). The third project is Sundrop, a mini curvy log cabin table runner or wall hanging, and the fourth is an appliqué door hanger for the winter.
We are excited to have the Saturday Sampler Block of the Month class offered at our Ben Franklin Crafts and Frame Shop store in Monroe, WA again for 2026. If you cannot make it to the class, we will be offering a virtual option – the link will be included in the same email with the monthly tutorial. We hope to help you learn new techniques with our Saturday Sampler and explore patterns that you might not try on your own.
WHEN: We will meet the first Saturday of each month, at 9am. When there’s a holiday, we will change the Saturday that we meet. (Doors will open at 8:30 for you to get settled in and chat before class). Here are the dates for 2026: January 3, February 7, March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, June 27, August 1, August 29, October 3, November 7, December 5, 2026.
PATTERN: At the January 3rd, 2026 meeting (or the first meeting you attend), we will be handing out your full pattern included with your paid membership of $40. For those of you participating virtually via ZOOM, we will send your pattern to you prior to the first class or you can arrange to pick it up at the store. If we are mailing it to you via regular mail, early sign up is appreciated.
INSTRUCTIONS: The monthly tutorial will be emailed to you on the Saturday (at 7am) of the class, or you can pick it up at our Ben Franklin store in Monroe, WA – (19505 Hwy 2, Monroe, WA, 98272)
MEMBERSHIP FEE for the year: $40.00
The class fee will include either the Stormy Sea quilt pattern, or the 4 seasonal project patterns. If you choose to make the 1 quilt and 4 seasonal projects, you will be able to purchase both membership. You can sign up ahead of time online or in the store. If you want to choose your own fabrics, the requirements will be available in the store.
Your Saturday Sampler membership includes your pattern and class entrance for the year, all virtual material, tutorials, monthly video of our in-person class, monthly specials for in-person shopping, and access to the Facebook Group. There you can share your projects, ask questions, and stay motivated to get your UFOs done.
