Saturday Pottery: Portrait Planters
About this Event
In this fun workshop, led by ceramic artist Sarah Pink, you will make a quirky pottery planter with a difference - add your own character or animal face to make it special to you! You'll be guided to slab-build your pot using cardboard tubes for support. 3D faces and colours are then applied, before the first firing in the kiln. A second firing will then add a transparent glaze.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced ceramicists.
Ticket price includes all equipment and materials, and finished planters will be fired by our dedicated team. We'll let you know by email as soon as your piece is ready for collection - which could be 3-4 weeks after the session.
Hat Works Café will be open, serving light lunches, delicious baked treats and drinks for you to enjoy and you’re welcome to explore our exhibition and retail collection.
