Join the Pike and Scioto County Master Gardener Volunteers for a Gardening 101 Workshop! To help accommodate schedules we will be offering the same workshop twice.
April is the perfect time to set your garden up for success! Join us for Spring Garden 101, where you’ll learn what to do right now to prepare your soil, sharpen your tools, and plan smart plantings for the season ahead. We’ll cover soil testing and amendments, till vs. no-till methods, cover crops, seed starting, cool-season vegetables, and essential tree and shrub care—including pruning and planting tips. Whether you’re starting a new garden or improving an existing one, this beginner-friendly, research-based program will help you save time, money, and frustration while building healthier soil and stronger plants all season long.
This workshop is free to attend, but pre-registration is required. Registration for the Wednesday workshop can be completed by going to go.osu.edu/wednesdaygardening101 and Saturdays registration can be completed by going to go.osu.edu/saturdaygardening101 or by scanning the QR codes to the right.
