Saturday Concert Series: Brian Thomas Quintet

Brian Thomas returns to Maudslay this summer, this time with his small group BT Allstars playing original soul jazz rooted in the tradition of a horn section backed by an organ trio rhythm section. Joining Brian will be tenor saxophonist Jon Bean, guitarist Steve Fell, organist Jordan Gravel, and drummer Dave Fox.

Boston-based trombonist Brian Thomas has been a crusader for funk, jazz, soul & reggae music in New England and beyond for over 20 years. His vibrant stage presence and distinctive funky style are on full display whenever he is on the stage.

Whether he is co-leading big band funk powerhouse BT ALC Big Band, with nu-jazz sextet Duochrome, or directing the rotating cast musicians that are the BT Allstars, Brian strives to achieve his goal to deliver positive music for your mind and body that keeps your head bobbing and your soul full.
