SATURDAY Birmingham Settlement Neighbourhood Futures Festival

Founded in 1899 as part of a movement for social reform, Birmingham Settlement provides a range of services in some of Birmingham's most marginalised communities.

Now in its second year, the Neighbourhood Futures Festival brings together people in the city to celebrate and enjoy our green spaces, and explore their future.

Join us at our Nature & Wellbeing Centre in Ladywood - right next to Edgbaston Reservoir - for 4 days of FREE friendly activity, family fun, walks & talks, wellbeing sessions, arts & crafts, music & performance, conversations, educational workshops, and interactive learning - all in the beauitiful surrounds of nature.

There is lots to engage with during the festival so come down, soak in the summer at the Reservoir and get involved!

SATURDAY PROGRAMME

Join us on Saturday for lots of family-friendly, community fun! With fun and games across the festival site, a children's nature zone, wild play area and nature-themed arts and crafts to keep everyone happy.

Meet Belinda Bins as she whizzes around the field on her mission to reduce plastic waste, get involved with eco-printing and visit a magical park with Centrala. Paint a flower pot or pebble, go on a bird walk with West Midlands Bird Club, and take part in family yoga.

The open-air stage will be taken over with joyful music with Brum Beats Samba Band and a performance from local singing group Singamajig. Plus our headline act The Choir With No Name will be entertaining you with a stomping selection of nature-inspired songs from across the decades.

For something more relaxing, Mindfulness Through Music with Will Crawford from quietnote will help you find your inner peace!

Check out our community stalls too - with local groups and organisations such as Compost Cultures, Karis Neighbourhood Scheme, Brum Energy Project, Eden Project Communities and many more!
