About this Event

Join us for this special edition of SATELLITE as we observe the deep, partial lunar eclipse occuring in Vancouver's sky, peaking during the middle of the event. Reserve a 'Silent Disco Headphones' ticket in order to participate in the first performance by sound artist Nancy Tam (space is limited!). Directly following is Vou Theophanous' Field Notes, an interactive sound installation that all are welcome to attend. No need to RSVP.

SATELLITE is a free, outdoor ambient music concert and stargazing event in Elm Park. All ages are welcome. We gather in the green space between the Elm Park Fieldhouse and the tennis courts to explore the night sky with telescopes and binoculars against a backdrop of gentle, ambient music. Audiences are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket, some extra layers of clothing, and food or drinks. Performances begin at sunset and end at astronomical dusk.
