This picturesque walk in the Surrey Hills takes you through Gratton Park with its landscaped Edwardian gardens, continuing along a spectacular North Downs escarpment with sweeping views across the Weald.
The journey proceeds to Reigate Fort, built in 1898 as part of the London Defence Scheme, and then ascends to Coely Hill Viewpoint. From there, the path leads to the isolated hamlet of Mogador, where we break for our lunch.
In the afternoon, the route crosses Banstead Heath Commons to Walton on the Hill before passing through the famous Epsom Downs Racecourse. A short loop leads behind the Grandstand, offering a panoramic view of the London skyline. You are welcome to join us for a drink and some food or take the train home.
