Whether you’re interested in trying out for the Sass ’n Saddles Precision Drill Team or just want to see what drill team is all about, we’d love to have you join us at our Drill Team Clinic!
✨ This will be an open practice-style clinic, so you can ride at your own pace, ask questions, practice new skills, and get a feel for what being on a drill team is really like. Team members will be there to help and encourage you every step of the way!

📍 Union County Saddle Club Arena
🐎 Open to ages 10+! Whether you’re 10, 25, 50, or older and looking for a new adventure, everyone’s welcome to come join the fun!
During the clinic you’ll:
⭐ Learn basic precision drill maneuvers
⭐ Practice riding in formation
⭐ Learn how to safely carry and present a flag from horseback
⭐ Meet current and past team members and learn what drill team is all about
💲 Cost:
🐴 FREE for Union County Saddle Club members
🐴 $10 for non-members
💙 No drill team experience necessary!
Please note: This is a no-pressure, no-commitment clinic—just bring your horse, your curiosity, and a willingness to learn! For everyone’s safety, all participants will be required to sign a Drill Team Liability Waiver before participating. Riders under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver.
🧠 Helmets are encouraged!
Come experience the fun, teamwork, horsemanship, and patriotism that make drill team such a rewarding experience. You might just discover your new favorite way to ride!
*Note: tryouts will be held the following week, October 4th.
