SASS x Forward Culture Turn 10!
About this Event
We’re celebrating 10 years of South Asian Sisters Speak (SASS) and ForwardCulture — we wouldn't be where we are today without our communities, so join us to celebrate what we've colletively built for South Asian women!
Since 2016, our organisations have worked in different but complementary ways to create spaces where South Asian women can connect, speak openly, explore identity and culture, and develop personally and professionally.
SASS has built a community around honest conversation — from sold-out events and panel discussions to the Brown Girls’ Book Club and creative projects exploring identity, mental health, relationships, culture and the realities of being a South Asian woman.
ForwardCulture has focused on creating opportunities for growth — from connecting more than 40 South Asian women through mentoring, to workshops, research, events and creative projects supporting cultural confidence, careers and safe spaces to discuss, interrogate and express our identity.
We’ve collaborated along the way too, including Brown Women Talk, which brought more than 150 people together in 2020.
Now we’re coming back together to celebrate what we’ve built, reflect on what’s changed and look ahead to the next 10 years for South Asian women.
