Eileen has entertained audiences across Canada and abroad with her soulful voice and heartfelt
lyrics. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Eileen’s family emigrated to Canada when she
was six and, while she calls herself a Prairie girl, her Irish roots run deep. Her music reflects a broad range of influences and inspiration, and is rooted in her love of a good story.
Laverty’s unique brand of folk music has been featured in film and television programs, and
landed her performances with a diverse range of artists, including the late country legend Kenny
Rogers, rocker Tom Cochrane, Canadian Tenor John McDermott, and the Saskatoon Symphony
Orchestra.
Eileen is also a lifelong fan of The Beautiful Game, still playing when her schedule permits. She loves the outdoors, and many of her songs were composed in and around the northern forests and rivers of Saskatchewan.
But it’s on the stage where Eileen is most at home. Whether a concert hall or a smaller, intimate venue, Eileen is sure to charm audiences with her gentle wit, easy manner, and pure, clear voice that is her calling card.
