SASH Midwifery Conference: Rekindling the Joy of Midwifery

Welcome to the SASH Midwifery Conference!

Join us in person for a day celebrating midwives and the vital work that takes place every day across maternity services. This conference brings together midwives to share learning while celebrating the role of the midwife.

We have a full and varied programme with contributions from a wide range of speakers and organisations, including Crawley LGBTQ+, Big Birthers, Happy Baby Community, the Regional Midwifery Team, the International Confederation of Midwives and many more!

There will be an opportunity to showcase your own work and studies through a poster competition, alongside an atrium full of stands to explore. Lunch is included, with opportunities throughout the day to connect with colleagues, reflect, and celebrate midwifery.

SASH Staff - paid time to attend

You may be able to apply for CPD study leave to attend this conference. Please submit your application to your line manager for review. Approval is not guaranteed and will depend on prior study leave and the volume of applications.

Conference Poster Competition

You are invited to share any work you have completed to educate others and celebrate your hard work in the form of a conference poster. This may be your midwifery dissertation, postgraduate study or a course. Topics include systematic reviews, research proposals or completed research and quality improvement projects.

Ideally, the work should be from within the last three years, but older projects are also welcome and appreciated. If you would like to use the templates shown below, please email [email protected] for a copy.

Since the posters are not being graded, you can use AI assistance, but please ensure thorough review of any AI-generated input (e.g., upload your report/paper, and AI can suggest content ideas for each section).

We will hold a poster competition where the top three posters, as voted by attendees, will receive a prize. Please email your completed posters to [email protected] and we will print and display them for you.
