Sarah-Clare Conlon
Wanderland by Sarah-Clare Conlon (Red Ceilings Press) is a meditation on getting lost in nature without venturing too far from the North of England’s urban sprawl. From the feathered friends of Manchester to the watery world of Ilkley’s moorland spas and springs, these poems urge you to take a moment to breathe.
“Wanderland is full of gorgeous observational poems about nature that are lovely to read and greatly skilled” ~ Will Mackie
“Stylishly crafted, attentive and attuned to the surprises of the world around us” ~ Jennifer Lee Tsai
“Beautiful poems of treasure and nature and light” ~ Rachel Bower
Sarah-Clare has been writer-in-residence at Ilkley Literature Festival, Saul Hay Gallery and Victoria Baths in Manchester. Her latest book, Wanderland (Red Ceilings Press), is a Poetry Book Society Summer 2025 Listing. It follows Lune (Red Ceilings), a Poetry Book Society Winter 2023 Selection, Using Language (Invisible Hand Press) and cache-cache (Contraband), a Poetry Book Society Winter 2022 Selection. Her prose collection Marine Drive was published by Broken Sleep Books in 2022.
