Sara J. Winston In Conversation with Molly Prentiss

On Thursday, March 26, join Sara J. Winston and Molly Prentiss in conversation to celebrate the launch of Sara’s new book, Too Visceral to be Intelligent, published this March by 1080Press of Kingston, New York. This book is made possible with funds from the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson. Sara will have copies of her new book, Too Visceral to be Intelligent(1080Press, 2026), as well as Sugar Honey Iced Tea (2025), available for sale throughout the evening. This event will be live-streamed on CPW’s YouTube page at 6pm.

Join us on select Thursday evenings at CPW, when we host illuminating talks with local and visiting artists. “Meet the Artist” allows the public to get to know new work, to hear about artistic processes, and to meet friends and other local artists. The evening takes place at CPW’s gallery at 25 Dederick Street in Kingston, NY. It is free and open to the public. Coffee, tea, and snacks are served.

is a photographer and writer based in New York. She produces photographs for books and exhibitions, she writes episodic creative-nonfiction, and makes hybrid image-text books. She is the author of several books, among them: Sugar Honey Iced Tea (For the Birds Trapped in Airports, 2025), Foibles & Avoidance (National Monument Press, 2024), A Lick and a Promise (Candor Arts, 2017), and Homesick (Zatara Press, 2015).

is the author of the novels Old Flame and Tuesday Nights in 1980, which was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and shortlisted for the Grand Prix de Littérature Américaine in France. She lives in a one-room schoolhouse in Red Hook, New York, with her husband and daughters.
