With the coming 2026 season SAPRL is bringing back our premium rimfire event, Heatwave! ☀️Careful planning and thought brought us to the Rimfire community. We believe that consistent growth each year and the ability to compete in Precision Rifle matches at a lower cost makes Rimfire PRS the perfect avenue to grow the sport for newer competitors.
The match weekend will include:
Day 1: Heat Wave: Sunstroke, a PRS Rimfire Regional Match
Day 2: Heat Wave: Afterburn, the PRS Rimfire Regional Match
This competition will challenge shooters with everything found in common field style matches such as target acquisition, panning, stage planning, smaller targets, and more!
You do not need to be a registered PRS member to compete in this event. You also do not need to be a part of the Foothills Region for the Regional Finale to count towards your year end match points for the US based finale. All are welcome to compete!
This is a .22lr match only.
The match will be located on private land and all the major details / registration may be found on Impact Scoring
