The Santa Cruz Aikido Summer Camp for Kids ages 6 - 12 will be July 22-26 this year. It will be 5 days of fun, filled with Aiki games, a day of outdoor training at DeLaveaga Park, practice with the Japanese wooden staff, Japanese brush calligraphy, and an introduction to Japanese culture and tradition. Oh! We will also do lots of training in Aikido techniques, rolling, and blending? Students will learn non-violent conflict resolution while having fun in a safe environment. Both new and experienced students are welcome and will practice together.
The camp is a great way for young people to learn about Aikido, the Martial Art of Peace, and then join the regular classes. Please share this with family and friends who have children that might be interested in an introduction to Aikido, whether it's just for a fun summer event or the beginning of a life-long path.
The cost of the 5-day camp is $115.
The camp will meet 12:00 - 2:00 pm each day.
