Santa Clara County Public Health Car Seat Check Event: Public Health is working with Safe Kids Santa Clara/San Mateo, local public agencies, and safety experts to offer free car seat checks to caregivers of children ages 0-12. Car Seat Appointments are 1 hour long; Click on the red button that says “Check Availability” to reserve a time that works for you.

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians can help parents and caregivers:

• Check that their child’s car seat is not expired or recalled
• Choose the right car seat for their child’s age, height and weight
• Learn how to install the right car seat in the vehicle

• Learn how to buckle their child correctly in the car seat

• Get any other car seat safety questions answered
