Sandy Hearts on Glass Workshop

A class with your instructor Amber is the perfect introduction to the art of resin. In your class, you will be guided in creating a 3D heart on glass. You will learn how to mix resin which will be the “glue” for your design.

You will have access to glass pieces, mini shells, crushed shells, and sand. If you would like to add a personal touch to your project, bring your own seashells. The resin used is non-toxic and food safe; meaning that it is safe for indoor use.

And as a final note, you will be bringing your piece home with you at the end of class. To properly cure, I highly recommend that your piece is not left in your car after the class and that it remains on a flat surface for 24 hours. Some students have found that having a box/lid/tote is useful in getting their projects home. Once home, please cover your piece to prevent dust, hairs, etc. from landing on your uncured resin. You can use what you transported it in, or simply use a piece of parchment paper (don’t let it touch the resin though). After 24 hours, your piece is touchable; however, to reach its hardest cure, please let it sit for a full week before use.

This is a beginner class and includes all supplies and an apron. Please keep in mind that resin will NOT wash out of clothing when you decide what to wear the day of class. And don't forget to bring your seashells!
